Oct. 17
In Social Studies, we continued to look at ways that Calgary is special and unique. We used photographs of our city and noted the important places that we saw. We also used maps of Calgary and recorded some of our unique attractions and features. The conversation during this task was very interesting and the students were so excited to see and find places that they have been to, have heard about, or wanted to get to. Look at some of the ideas we came up with so far. To continue this conversation at home you could go on to Google Maps and have students find important attractions and places in Calgary and explain why they help make Calgary unique.
Tomorrow is our second book exchange day. Don't forget to send your two books along with the large Ziploc bag to school tomorrow. We will also have our first buddy time tomorrow with our CSSI buddies!
